Not much new. . . . .

A Purpleamethyst76 Update!

We have a lot of people coming to look at the house we are selling so we are still staying in a hotel.  I am home now with the kids so that I can do some laundry, air the place out, let the kids play with the neighbors, make a few phone calls, and get some more things for tonight and tomorrow.
We visited the house we are buying yesterday and it was so neat to walk in it and around outside.  I didn’t know that I will have a creek!  I love the sound of running water!  And this is not one of those little creeks that dry up in the summer, it’s full of nice rushing water.  The kids had such a fun time catching little frogs out of the pond with nets.

I am reminded once again of the importance of continuing to take care of myself even if my schedule and life is thrown off track a little.  I need to keep up with my devotions so that I don’t feel weak spiritually.  I need to also take care of my body by eating and drinking properly and getting enough rest and exercise.  I also need to make sure I am taking good care of the children.

  1. The creek sounds beautiful!  Congratulations on your new home   It sounds like your existing home is going to sell pretty quickly, Praise God!  ~Have a Blessed Day!!

  2. Hey… thanks for the message you left on my site. I miss you, too. I tried calling you, but you must have already left the house. I’m having a rough week. Thankfully, God knew it would be this bad last week and had my husband tell me to take a “day off” this week and have someone watch Ainsley. Brenna is coming over tomorrow for the whole day. I’m so looking forward to it. We need to catch up some time soon.

  3.  I love creeks, I grew up with one on our property and we were always catching salamanders, cray fish and little critters brings back fond memories. You children will fully enjoy it I am sure.

  4. Your comment about the creek made me smile!  I’ve been reading “Anne of Green Gables” to the girls, and we just read the part where Anne is so happy that Green Gables has a creek.  I love creeks too, although we don’t have one.

  5. C-I hope you enjoy your day off!Alaskahannah–I’ve read the Anne books too many times to count. I’m going to copy your idea and start reading them to the kids. Those books are wonderful!
