Let me just begin by saying that I did not take as many pictures as I would have liked. I missed a lot of photo opportunities because the purpose of my visit was to be there for my grieving family; my mom and her sisters and the rest of the family, after the death of my Uncle Chris. There are pictures in my mind, however, and moments not soon to be forgotten. Thank you for all your prayers and well-wishes on our behalf. It was a bittersweet time~ bitter because of loss, sweet because of family, friends and the love that we share.
And now, the pictures I did take. Enjoy!
The picture above is of my 5 children, my Aunt Colleen’s 4 daughters, and my sisters 2 daughters. And so it goes. Life continuing on.
This picture is special.. My mother and me with my son. It was taken on Mother’s Day.
My Parent’s house. This is where I lived from age 10 years on until I left home to get married. The only place on earth where I can feel relaxed and comfortable.
What’s a family visit without food? Besides my mom’s homecooked lunch, we also enjoyed cousin Erika’s homemade baked goods. The brownies were sublime.
Aunt Mary
Here are some of us girls going through some pictures of Uncle Chris. “Time it was and what a time it was. . . .a time of innocence. . .a time of confidences. . . long ago it must be . . I have a photograph. . . .preserve your memories . . . . . .”
My Grandpa Gohl
My “sweet as sugar” sister, Melissa
One of the most important people in my life, my brother David. He has the most gorgeous blue eyes.
The happiest newlyweds ever! My brother Nathan (another very important person in my life) is thrilled with his new wife and now that they have a baby on the way, life just can’t get any better! I’m so happy for them.
What’s a trip back home without a picture of my dear Dad? Unfortunately that perfect picture never happened. We tried. Oh well, I hope that on our trip to Fort Ticonderoga in 2 weeks I’ll have an opportunity for a Dad Pic.
Love to you all. . . . .
Line from the song that was sung at the funeral: “God knows your heart when people just see you crying”

These pictures are a great peek into your family. Thanks for sharing. I’m sorry you had to go, but glad you got to see your family. It’s so refreshing to be with the one’s you love.
Melissa is so pretty!
I love how that one picture was taken on Mothers day.
Sitting there looking at those old pictures must have been difficult. I am glad you were able to go and be with your family.
Beautiful!
Your picture of my dad is awsome. You captured his personality perfectly. Your picture of the group of kids turned out a lot better than mine-a couple of the kids have some really weird expressions in my picture. I love the ones of Mary Ellen and Dave also.
I’m so glad we came up and spent time with you all. Love Ya!
